The Satya School Parent School Committee (PSC) is based on the premise that collaborating partners have some common basis for action and a sense of affinity that supports their joint ventures.
The School Management, Staff and Parents have a common need for coming together as one body, for the students, the need to create a positive learning environment for the students, conducive to their overall development. As a collaborative group we can work towards the betterment of our students.
This collaborative group partnering with the Parents, Staff and Management will have the opportunity to exchange views, work together and to develop mutual trust and confidence. Some key attributes such as warmth, sensitivity, nurturance, consistency, having the ability to listen, being unbiased, possessing a sense of efficacy and also effective interpersonal skills will form the basis for leading the PSC. The PSC representative will need to foster in self a strong sense of open mindedness and wide vision to accommodate inputs from the larger parent body and not restrict it to personal need. The PSC will work to share ideas and advise school decision making, it will not hold any decision-making authority in school operations but will provide management with well thought out and diverse points of view.
