HOUSES
The House system instils in the students the values of collaboration, team spirit, commitment, loyalty, sharing and camaraderie. Students are devoted to their houses and that sprit brings in higher levels of competition within the school, which helps in building School teams. The four houses are awarded points through the year during various inter house events and at the end of the year these points are tabulated and the House with maximum points wins the House trophy for the year. This inculcates in the students a true spirit of ownership and commitment towards reaching for their goals. These are some essential skills which are inculcated during the house competitions and last a lifetime. Satya School has four houses as mentioned below and students from Grades 1 upwards are divided into these houses.
AQUILA HOUSE
Represented by an EAGLE, the regal bird that rules the sky, the motto of the house is 'DO ALL THINGS WELL'. Soaring on the wings of persistence and self-confidence, the students learn to build a foundation that strengthen the bond of friendship and improves individual efforts and team spirit.
CYGNUS HOUSE
Represented by a SWAN, which is known for its grace and beauty, the motto of the house is 'TO LABOUR IS TO PRAY'. Just as a SWAN face the difficulties of the life with dignity and serenity, as it glides over troubled water, the students learn to face everyday challenges with grace and dignity.
ORION HOUSE
Represented by the HUNTER, who is known for his perseverance, courage and tenacity, the motto of the house is 'LABOUR THROUGH FAITH'. Students learn that in order to make an idol a reality, the qualities of a Hunter should be an integral part of their life. Their obstacles can be overcome and dreams realized if they labour through faith.
PEGASUS HOUSE
Represented by the winged HORSE, the symbol aptly captures the indomitable spirit of Pegasus. The motto of the house is 'REACH FOR THE STARS'. With this as the guiding force, the students are committed to constantly strive for excellence as they aspire to achieve their goals and aspiration. For them, the sky is the limit.
